In a pioneering effort to celebrate the wedding industry, Thunderbird Resorts worked with seven of the country’s most esteemed and in-demand wedding suppliers and showcased them in the book entitled Thunderbird Resorts presents: The Power 7 Wedding Suppliers


These suppliers—who are nothing short of visionaries—represent the growing breed of creative individuals that are lending their own form of artistry into the industry. They are wedding coordinator Ernest Pascual, photographers DinoLaraand Oly Ruiz, bridal couturier Veluz Puno-Reyes, florist and event stylist Teddy Manuel, wedding stylist and caterer Kaye Cunanan, and wedding videographerJason Magbanua.
The suppliers collaborated and brought their artistry to the resort’s properties in Poro Point, La Union and Binangonan, Rizal. The book contains anecdotes from each supplier on how they jointly conceptualized the themes and worked on creating a complete vision of a dream destination wedding befitting Thunderbird Resorts’ mantra to “create extraordinary experiences”.

Manila's Comedy Bar Stars shine in Rizal

The popular comedians from Manila’s top comedy bars gathered together for one hilarious show at the Event Center last July 16, Saturday at Thunderbird Resorts-Rizal.

Kim Idol, Chubbylita, Arnel Chika, Donita, The Foxy Ladies and Inday Garutay went all out with their performances. Sing, dance, act, name it and they did it. Not to mention the dose of humor injected in each show piece.

Top 10 Finalists Announced during the Miss Philippines Earth Pre-Pageants at Thunderbird Resorts

As part of its commitment of working with a conscience towards promoting environmental awareness, Thunderbird Resorts supported another endeavor benefitting Mother Earth.

Organized together with Miss Earth Foundation and Carousel Productions, in celebration of the “Year of the Forests” this 2011, two of the most awaited pre-pageant events of the Miss Philippines Earth took center stage last Saturday, May 21, in Thunderbird Resorts-Binangonan Rizal’s newest Event Center. As an added twist to this year’s pageant, the announcement of the Top Ten Finalists serves as the climax of the night.

The ten ladies who are still vying for the prestigious titles were; Alicia Ariosa of Pagadian City, Muriel Orais of Cebu City, Edan Dafilmoto of Cotabato City, Michelle Gavagan of Las Pinas, Jonavi Quiray of Puerto Princesa City, Mary Denisse Toribio of the City of Malolos, Brenna Gamboa of Fil. East Coast, Athena Imperial of the Mun. of Casiguran-Aurora, Tarhata Rico of Makati City and Catrine Ocampo of General Santos City.

Viva Hot Babes brings the Hottest Reunion of the Year!

The Viva Hot Babes definitely made their comeback show at Thunderbird Resorts Rizal last May 14, 2011 the Hottest Reunion of the Year! Inspired by the movie Burlesque together with performances of the hits from the female group Pussycat Dolls, the Event Center stage exuded the famous Las Vegas vibe.

There were nothing but eye-popping and jaw-dropping worthy numbers from Katya Santos, Gwen Garci, Sheree, Jaycee Parker, Maricar dela Cruz, Mica Gomez, Zara Lopez and Sachie Sanders - who all proved that even after a long break, these Hot Babes are still oozing with poise, appeal, and the groove.

From one blazing number to another, the Viva Hot Babes leaves the crowd stunned and in awe. Surprising them with each costume change and sultry performance.

As the night came in to a close, the reunited girls proved once more that they are fitting to be claimed as the Hottest Babes in town. The event was made possible together with FHM Philipppines.

A Night to Remember: Jose Mari Chan performs at the Event Center, Thunderbird Resorts Rizal

Truly an experience of timeless romance last April 15, 2011, the crowd at Thunderbird Resorts Rizal's Event Center was brought down memory lane as balladeer Jose Mari Chan serenaded them with his classics and hits.

Jose Mari Chan sang his most loved songs such as “Tell me your Name”, "Please be Careful with My Heart", “Beautiful Girl” and many more.

Bringing along his charms and wit, the singer and songwriter shared not only his the hit songs but as well as jokes and funny stories in between sets.

The audience laughed at and loved his humorous spiels. Such a revelation that aside from being a crooner, Jose Mari Chan is a comic himself.

Then, making it more an intimate concert, Jose Mari Chan went down the stage to be up close with his fans.

And to cap the night, Jose Mari Chan graced an autograph signing session. Fans & guests alike lined up for the chance to have their CDs signed and for photo-op too!

Love and romance was left in the air even as the concert ended. Surely this was one night that everyone will keep in their hearts, to remember and reminisce.

Bloggers Unite for a fun-filled Bloggers Fest!

Held last April 16, 2011, Thunderbird Resorts hosted this year’s Bloggers Fest – an activity-filled day that includes talks and workshops with about 200 blogger attendees from various categories. Azrael Coladilla explains on manilabloggers.blogspot.com, “The objective of the event is to have a venue for free mentorship on blogging and as well as networking with Filipino bloggers and participating companies.”
